All Hallows Eve

When I have watched a scary movie and am lying in bed thinking about it and trying to go to sleep.
I think to myself: "it was just a movie, it was not real".
Sometimes it works and I am able to sleep, but other times it does not work and I spend the night huddled up in my covers whimpering silently through out the night.
I know that some people out there enjoy those kind of films but I really do not see the purpose of being scared out of your pants.
Halloween was originally known as all Hallows Eve and it was a day when supposedly the Vail that separated the heavens from earth was very very thin and that supposedly made it possible for the creatures of Hell and so forth could walk among the living.
The day after Halloween was called Saints Day and I have no idea what was supposed to happen on that particular day.
But when did candy and ghosts and vampires and werewolves and ghouls and all those other hideous creatures come in to the story?.
I could never understand that.
People all around the world have the best time scaring people on Halloween and even though it doesn't make any sense why they do it, or why they enjoy it so much, it is their choice what to do on that confusing day: October 31st.

Happy Halloween!

Is It Real?

Santa Claus.
What are the things that pop into your mind when you hear the name: Santa Claus?
Maybe you think of happy children bouncing up and down with joy at all the presents he brought.
Or maybe you think of how you heard sleigh bells on the roof on Christmas day.
Or maybe you think of nothing at all because Santa does not exist.
But he has always existed in the minds and hearts of the little children.
Yesterday in Sunday school, my teacher said: "When little children hear the name Santa Claus they become instantly happy".
And do you know why the become sooo happy?
Its because "Santa" brings them presents and candy and and toys and books and games and other things that eventually break.
But don't you think that the Devil is trying to get the minds and devotion of those little innocent children by the things that they most believe in and hope for.
And what do you think that is.
Yes, you are correct. Candy and presents and toys.
Why do the children leave milk and cookies for "Santa" anyway.
And why do they make Christmas lists for "Santa" to read when he comes.
And why are they extra good for "Santa".
All this comes down to two powerful dangerous things: earthly belongings.
Those of you who do not know what these are. These are the things that you have wanted, want or have gotten in your earthly life.
Everything that you receive from the stores and the malls and the street sellers are earthly things that we gain.
But when we die every earthly object that we have gained will stay on earth.

This is an original poem by me.

I am on the brink of falling.
Falling into the dark hole of death and decay.
I can see the evil creatures crawling up the sides of the
empty carcass that was once my mind.
A sentence keeps flashing in my mind:
Its always darkest before the dawn
its always darkest before the dawn.
I don't know what it means but I find
comfort in it anyway.
A light in the miserable world that is
engulfing my body.

I think that if we cling on to earthly things in this life we will only find absolutely nothing to show for it.
